Killian Latex is located at 2064 Killian Road, Akron, Ohio 44312. We have 30 years of experience in the custom formulation and use of various types of latex compounds, based on both natural and synthetic latexes (latices). By definition, latex technology is exclusively a water-based technology. None of our formulations utilizes volatile organic solvents.

Our areas of special expertise include, but are not limited to, the production of medical devices, both by “straight dipping“, where no coagulant is used (e.g. condoms, finger cots), and by the more typical coagulant-dipping process (e.g. gloves, anesthesia apparatus). Additionally, we have developed and produced many different types of formulations, including those used for coatings, adhesives, castings, latex molds, and various dipped products.

Our services to our customers include:

1) Determining the best type of latex formulation to meet the customer’s

    requirements for a specific application;

2) Developing and providing a latex formulation that is tailored specifically to

    meet the customer’s specifications and processing parameters;

3) Providing advice regarding optimum processing parameters and techniques;

4) Providing technical service and assistance in resolving production problems;

5) Providing custom manufacturing of latex dipped products.
